IAA Engineers will be installing a new switch at NextDC P1 for additional capacity, this includes migrating 40/100G peers off our existing device, 10G ports are excluded from this migration.
Members with 40/100G service ports connected at NextDC P1 should expect their port to go down during this window for around 15 minutes, affecting all services associated with the port: Peering, VLL, Extended Reach Peering.
AS10084 content will also be disrupted during this maintenance as it is also being migrated across.
Ports will be drained of peering traffic using BCP214 compliant filters before they are migrated. Filters will be removed once the ports are back online and stable.
If you are unsure where your port lands, please login to https://portal.internet.asn.au to confirm if your port is within this facility.
The work is expected to take about 2 hours. However, 4 hours has been booked in the unlikely event of an emergency.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this notice, please contact us on 1300 793 320 or noc@ix.asn.au.
