Scheduled
IAA Engineers will be swapping out a faulty module on pe4.syd1, a switch reboot is required as this module is not hot-pluggable.

An emergency outage window has been set for tonight to avoid the potential of a more disruptive unplanned outage.

Members with service ports at Equinix SY1 on switch pe4.syd1 should expect their port to go offline during this outage.

The work is expected to take about 5-10 minutes. However, 2 hours has been booked in the unlikely event of any unforeseen failure.

Engineers will drain peering sessions for ports roughly 10 minutes before the planned event using BCP214 compliant filters to ensure traffic is not suddenly dropped. Filters will be removed once all equipment is back online and stable.

We will be emailing the technical contacts of affected members. You can also check the member portal to see if your service is related to this switch at portal.internet.asn.au

Please contact noc@asn.ix.au or 1300 653 132 if you have any queries regarding this notice.
