IAA Engineers will be mass migrating cross connects within Equinix SY3 (syd3) to remove legacy fibre panels and hardware from operation. This will impact a handful of peers at Equinix SY3 whom have already been notified by the Equinix Project Manager, as well as all peers connected at VDC-SYD01 (Doody St) due to a core path also being migrated.
Date: 11/06/2024 Start time: 00:00 (AEST) Downtime to expect: Up to ~30 minutes Window: 4 hours
* Members with service ports connected at Equinix SY3 or VDC-SYD01 should expect their port to go down during this window, affecting all services associated with the port: Peering, VLL, Extended Reach Peering.
Ports will be drained of peering traffic using BCP214 compliant filters before they are migrated. Filters will be removed once the ports are back online and stable.
The work is expected to take about 2 hours. However, 4 hours have been booked in the unlikely event of an emergency.
Whilst we are working toward our targeted notifications feature, if you would like to confirm the location of your service ports and their associated services, please login to https://portal.internet.asn.au.
