Scheduled
IAA Engineers will be upgrading the firmware of switches at Equinix SY1 (syd1) as well as consolidating 40G/100G LR4 ports to decommission a switch for re-use elsewhere.

Start: 04/Feb/2025 23:00 (AEDT)
End: 05/Feb/2025 03:00 (AEDT)
Window: 4 hours
Expected downtime: ~15 minutes per service port

Members with service ports connected at Equinix SY1 should expect their port to go down during this window for around 15 minutes, affecting all services associated with the port: Peering, VLL, Extended Reach Peering.

Ports will be drained of peering traffic using BCP214 compliant filters before they are migrated. Filters will be removed once the ports are back online and stable.

If you are unsure where your port is located, please login to https://portal.internet.asn.au to confirm if your port is within this facility.

The work is expected to take about 2 hours. However, 4 hours have been booked in the unlikely event of an emergency.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this notice, please contact us on 1300 793 320 or noc@ix.asn.au.
