Scheduled
IAA Engineers will be upgrading the firmware of the switch hardware in Qv1(pe3.per1) and NextDC P1(pe2.per5) to mitigate a software bug that caused a routing issue on intercap VLLs.

Members with service ports within Qv1(pe3.per1) and NextDC P1(pe2.per5) should expect their port to go offline during this outage.

Member with service ports within Qv1(pe1.per1, pe2.per1) and NextDC P1(pe1.per5) should expect impact to their services - Peering, VLL Extended Reach and any bilateral you may have to another peer.

ALL Members connected to WA-IX should also expect rs1.wa.ix.asn.au to go offline during the first half of the outage and rs2.wa.ix.asn.au during the second half of the outage. Content caches included.

Engineers will make sure one of the route servers is always online during the outage to maintain the redundancy.

Inter-capital link between PERADL is on hazard status, no outage is expected as traffic will shift via the longer path causing an increase in latency.

The work is expected to take about 1 hour. However, 4 hours has been booked in the unlikely event of an emergency.

Engineers will drain peering sessions for ports roughly 10 minutes before the planned event using BCP214 compliant filters to ensure traffic is not suddenly dropped. Filters will be removed once the devices are back online and stable.
