Scheduled
IAA engineers have received monitoring alerts of our switch at VDC-PER01 / PerthIX experiencing an I2C protocol panic causing system reporting instability. No traffic impact has occurred or is expected.

Our technician has attended onsite and after re-seating various redundant bits of hardware in an attempt to restore the stuck I2C communications, the issue persists and the best next course of action is to reboot the device.

Expected downtime: ~15 minutes
If hardware fault: ~1-3 hours

Ports will be drained of peering traffic using BCP214 compliant filters before the reboot and removed once the device is back online and stable.

In the unlikely event of a hardware fault, a spare onsite switch will be swapped out with the failed hardware.
